The Niger State Police Command said it has made another recovery of a Stolen vehicle along Dikko Road axis, of Suleja.

NIGER POLICE RECOVERS ANOTHER STOLEN VEHICLE ALONG DIKKO ROAD, SULEJA.

In furtherance of the Police efforts in tackling crime and criminality and ensuring a crime-free society, on 15th May, 2025 at about 8:15pm, acting on credible information that on the said date, a black Toyota Corolla vehicle with Reg. No. EKY 80 DZ was stolen in Minna around the Midwifery School in Tunga. This report was immediately circulated to all Police Divisions in the State for immediate recovery of the vehicle.

In compliance with this, the Police patrol team attached to Maje Div on routine stop and search along Kwamba-Maje road was alerted, and at about 10pm, one black Toyota Corolla vehicle with a different number plate BDG 271 AT at the front and the rear plate removed, with two occupants was sighted heading towards Dikko road. The vehicle was immediately followed by the patrol team led by the DPO. The driver noticed the police team and tried to speed up, but ran into a tricycle ahead.

As a result of the accident, the two suspects ran out of the vehicle and escaped. The said vehicle was recovered, and other exhibits that were left behind by the suspects. However, investigation is in progress, and exhibits recovered are being analysed for possible arrest of the fleeing suspects. The owner of the vehicle had identified the vehicle as the same vehicle that was stolen in Minna, 

The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, mnips commended the DPO and his team for the recovery of the vehicle. He encouraged Nigerlites and residents to give prompt information to the Police and security agencies for immediate intervention, while he urged all to be more security-conscious and vigilant, as well as ensuring that personal properties are adequately protected and made difficult to steal by undesirable elements.
