Distinguished Senator Osita Izunaso, OFR, has warmly congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Oyo Government, combined nation's security agencies, and indeed all Nigerians, on successful rescue and release of the abducted teachers and school children in Oyo State; describing the development as a huge welcome relief and moment of great joy to the affected families, people of Oyo State, and the nation at large.

Senator Osita Izunaso applauded the temerity, decisive political-will and doggedness of President Tinubu in handling the hydraheaded critical situation without collateral damage, commending Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, the people of the State, including local vigilantes and more importantly, the coordinated efforts of the security agencies whose impeccable professionalism, resilience, and commitment made the safe release possible.

Senator Izunaso also commended the Oyo State Government for its cooperation with relevant security authorities and for standing firmly by the victims' families throughout the difficult period.

Expressing that "the successful rescue is a clear testament to what can be achieved through collaboration, intelligence-driven security operations, and unwavering commitment to protection of lives and property, which brings renewed hope to Nigerians that our security institutions remain dedicated to safeguarding our citizens."

He however emphasized the need for sustained efforts to strengthen security across the country, particularly around educational institutions, to ensure that schools remain safe for learning and educational development.

Distinguished Senator Osita Izunaso while praying for repose of the soul of one of the children that passed-on in captivity, also prayed for full recovery of the released victims; extending his heartfelt congratulations to their families, well wishers, Oyo State and the entire nation Nigeria. END
