APC NATIONAL CONVENTION 2026; Izunaso Welcomes Delegates

Distinguished Senator Osita Izunaso, member representing Imo West Senatorial District, and a key member of the National Convention Planning Committee, has extended warm welcome to delegates, party leaders, members and critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across the federation to the much awaited 2026 National Convention.

Describing the upcoming epoch gathering which kicks-off Wednesday 25th of March, with arrival of participants, as a defining moment for the Party and a testament of APC’s commitment to internal democracy, unity of purpose, and progressive governance.

Distinguished Senator Izunaso made the statement at Eagles Square, Abuja, while speaking to newsmen, during physical inspections at the construction site where frantic efforts are being made by contractors on the final preparations and finishing touches to stands and structures at the venue of the Convention.

Drawing from his wealth of experience in the planning process, Senator Izunaso commended the collective efforts of all the Committees involved in the planning including the Party leadership, in putting together what he described as a well-structured, all-inclusive Convention.

Senator Izunaso said "I am very confident that the 2026 National Convention will not only be successful, but will be a very colourful and impactful gathering that will showcase and reflect the strength and cohesion of our great Party.” 

He emphasized that the Convention provides vital platform for reflection, strategic alignment, and reinforcement of shared values among Party faithful.

“On behalf of the great and wonderful people of Imo West, my dependable and reliable supporters, I warmly welcome all delegates and stakeholders to Abuja 2026, for the APC National Convention. This all important gathering, offers us opportunity to consolidate our gains and achievements, while addressing our challenges, and chatting a forward-looking path that prioritizes the welfare and aspirations of Nigerians.”

Senator Izunaso further said, “As we engage in deliberations and make critical decisions, I encourage all members to place the interest of the Party and the nation above individual considerations, because, together, we shall emerge stronger, more united, and better prepared for the great task of 2027 ahead.”

The Distinguished Senator expressed optimism that the outcomes of the convention would further strengthen the APC and position it for continued leadership and service to the people.

Senator Izunaso wishes all delegates, a fruitful Convention and pleasant stay in Abuja, the nation's seat of power. END
