POST-RAMADAN APPRECIATION MESSAGE & EID EL-FITRI CELEBRATION ADVISORY

From the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 7 Headquarters, Abuja.

As the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end, I extend my sincere appreciation to the good people of the Federal Capital Territory and Niger State for their peaceful conduct, patience and cooperation throughout the period. Your discipline and respect for law and order greatly contributed to the relative peace and security experienced across the zone.

I commend our officers and men of Zone 7, FCT and Niger State Police Commands for their unwavering commitment, professionalism and sacrifice in ensuring the safety of lives and property during Ramadan. Your dedication, even while separated from your families, is deeply appreciated.

As we observe Eid al-Fitr, I urge all residents to celebrate responsibly and remain security conscious. 

While we encourage joy and festivity, it is important to:

   • Be vigilant in crowded places such as mosques, event centres and markets

   • Ensure homes and properties are properly secured when traveling

   • Parents and guardians, monitor your wards at all times

   • Report any suspicious movements or objects to the nearest security agency

The Nigeria Police Force; Zone 7 Headquarters, Abuja remains committed to ensuring a safe and hitch-free Eid celebration for all. We will continue to deploy adequate personnel and operational resources across strategic locations to guarantee public safety.
