President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has raised concerns on the renewed activities of insurgence in the country, particularly with the number of casualties among the military and killing of theatre Commanders in the North East.
The President made the observations during a close door meet with the Service Chiefs, calling for a review of strategy in the Military's approach to the rising cases of terror in the country.
Speaking to the Press after the crucial meeting, Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa rtd, assured the President and Nigerian populace that the Military and other security formations will do everything possible within their capacity to confront the rampaging hydraheaded monsters with all the might to win the war against renewed activities of insurgents in the country, especially in the North East Nigeria, to enable the citizens to sleep with their two eyes closed.
The Minister of Defence appealed to Nigerians to have confidence in the Nigerian military, saying that the military and sister agencies are currently reviewing thier strategies and approach to the rampaging re-insurgence and will do everything possible to bring the rising situation under control.
General Christopher Musa Rtd, while lamented the situation regretted the casualties occasioned by the renewed activities of the terrorists, promising that the sacrifices the injured and fallen heroes shall not allowed to be in vain.
The Defense Minister thanked the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his immeasurable support to the military, especially in the acquisition of required modern weapons to meet up with the prevailing realities of insecurity challenges in the country in the protection of Nigeria's territorial integrity. ■END
