PRESS RELEASE 

POLICE CONSTABLE RECRUITMENT: PHYSICAL AND CREDENTIAL SCREENING EXERCISE

The Zone 7 Police Headquarters, Abuja, wishes to inform the general public, particularly candidates from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Niger State who applied for recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as General Duty and Specialist Police Constables, that the physical and credentials screening exercise will commence from Monday, 9th March, 2026, to Saturday, 18th April, 2026.

The exercise will take place at the FCT police command Headquarters, Garki -FCT, Abuja and Police secondary school minna Niger state respectively. 

Applicants are advised to carefully observe the following guidelines:

Candidates are to visit the official recruitment portal:  https://npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to verify their application status and print out the required documents.

Applicants must report at the screening venue strictly on the date indicated on their invitation slip. The approved dress code for the exercise is white canvas shoes, white T-shirt, white shorts and white stockings.

All candidates are expected to appear with the following documents neatly arranged in two white flat files:

1. Application Submission Slip

2. Physical Screening Form

3. Invitation Slip (with table number)

4. Credential Screening Form

5. National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card

6. O’Level Certificate(s)

7. Birth Certificate or Age Declaration

8. Local Government/State of Origin Certificate

9. Trade Test Result (for Specialist applicants)

10. Completed Guarantor’s Form with passport photographs

11. Any other relevant credentials with recent passport photographs


Candidates who fail to present the required documents, do not adhere to the prescribed dress code, or appear outside their scheduled date will not be allowed to participate in the screening exercise.

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 7 urges all shortlisted applicants to conduct themselves in an orderly and disciplined manner throughout the exercise and strictly comply with all instructions provided by officials.

He further reiterates that the recruitment process into the Nigeria Police Force is entirely free of charge, and warns applicants and members of the public to report anyone demanding money or attempting to influence the process through the command Public Relations Officers.
