The organization was led by Mazi Reginald Amaku and Ezinwa Obinna Nwachukwu (Osere),the Chairman and Secretary, respectively. Others on the entourage included the Councillor representing Okwu Community, Hon(Mrs)Chinwe Opara,Hon Ben Ugwunebo, Mrs Chizoma Leo Njoku and Mrs Oriaku Vivian Sabastine Ahu, amongst others.
Rt Hon Nze described Okwu as an important community in Ikeduru LGA, pointing out that the community is endowed in so many spheres. He commended the leadership and members of Obum ma Obugi for taking the initiative to galvanise the people of the community to articulate their problems and speak with one voice.
In his words, ” Please be patient with me. I share in your concerns for the good people of Okwu Community. I can assure you that there will be light at the end of the tunnel. We are working tirelessly to address the problems in Ikeduru East. With the help of our Mr. Infrastructure and Dynamic Governor, H.E.,Senator Hope Uzodinma, we will get most of our worries addressed squarely.”
In their address earlier, the leadership of Obum ma Obugi showered encomia on Ikeduru Council Chairman for placing the local government area “on global map – in terms of quality administration, implementation of people-oriented policies, and an astute leadership style – courtesy of your exemplary idiosyncrasies.” They noted that the interactive session with the Council Chairman will afford both parties the opportunity to “cross-pollinate ideas on sociocultural and political issues affecting Okwu Community.”

In fact, Okwu people are not happy because they have not been fairly treated in all spheres. It is not proper that Okwu Community should work like an elephant every election circle but eat like an ant afterwards after victory must have achieved. It is human,” the organization stressed.
The Obum ma Obugi delegation expressed angst that in spite of Okwu community, “being an influential member of the Trinity ward, the biggest electoral ward in Ikeduru LGA,the community is still bedevilled with a lot of sociocultural deprivations which is very worrisome.” The organization, however, said that considering Rt Hon Nzeh’s pedigree and humane disposition,it is optimistic that its complaints will receive attention due course.
The Councillor representing Okwu Community in Ikeduru Local Government Council, Hon (Mrs) Chinwe Opara solicited the Council Chairman’s attention to the complaints raised by the Obum ma Obugi team. She pointed out that Okwu Community is almost cut off from other neighbouring communities “due to the devastating road networks in the community” ...END
