Works Minister, Dave Umahi Appoints Barr. Orji as CPS

The Hon. Minister of Works, Senator Engr David Nweze Umahi has appointed Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji as the Chief Press Secretary, CPS. Barr. Orji was appointed as Chief Press Secretary to Hon. Minister Of Work on Thursday, November 2, 2023 in Abuja

The New Chief Press Secretary was former Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Ebonyi state under His Excellency Engr David Nweze Umahi between 2019 - 2023 and Deputy Director, Tinubu / Shetima Presidential Campaign Council Sub-Committee on CSOs in 2023. 

He holds a Barrister at Law (BL) in 2004 at Nigerian Law School, Abuja and Abia State University, Uturu— LLB(Hons) In 2002

Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji, has over the years established firm contact and harmonious relationship  with the print, electronic and online media practitioners and had built confidence and competencies in the area of media relations, corporate communication and reputation management and crisis management

He Served as a Chief Whip, Ebonyi State House of Assembly in 2007-2011, also worked as  Commissioner for Economic Empowerment and Job Creation Ebonyi State in 2017-2018, the Focal person, Federal Government Programmes on Human Capital Development 2020,  Chairman, Ebonyi State Census Publicity Sub Committee 2023, and also Director, Directorate of Information, Divine Mandate Campaign Council in 2023

Barr Orji is a member of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Abakaliki Branch, member, All Progressives Congress, APC Ebonyi State Chapter, old member, Common Wealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) and a Chieftaincy title holder of Okwuru Oha 1 of Ishiagu

Barr Orji hails from Amaedim Ngwogwo Community, Ishiagu in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and until his appointment as CPS to the Hon. Minister of Works, Barr Orji, 47, is happily married with 6 children. END
