Izunaso Assures Orlu Zone of Adequate Distribution of Democracy Dividends

The Senator representing the good people of Imo West Senatorial District, Distinguished Sen. Osita Izunaso has re-assured the people of the Senatorial District that all the Local Government Areas in the zone shall be adequately well captured in the distribution of democracy dividends that shall be attracted by his humble efforts.

Senator Izunaso made the declaration during the foundation laying ceremony of a Skill Acquisition Centre, in Akokwa, Ideato North LGA of Imo State on Wednesday November 8, 2023.

The Senator said the foundation laying ceremony of the Skill Acquisition Centre is the second in the series within Ideato North LGA since his return to the Senate; explaining that the project may not look very big, but promised to attract more to the area. 

According to Sen. Izunaso, "more things are definitely coming to the area. We are looking at some federal roads in Ideato that are in very bad state, and we are going to do something about them" he stated.

He emphasised that, Community development cannot be left for the State alone, especially with the symbiotic relationship that exists between himself and Governor Hope Uzodinma, saying that federal government are also stakeholders in the overall well-being and development of the people. 

Senator Izunaso stated that Imo West Senatorial District is the largest Senatorial zone in Southern Nigeria, covering a total of 12 LGAs. He explained that the significance of the strategic location of Ideato North and South in the Senatorial District cannot be over emphasised, as they are gateways to sister States of Anambra, Abia and Enugu.

He reiterated that he moved the first motion on the floor of the Senate, on the problematic erosion menace ravaging the area, saying that Ideato North and South have suffered the worst in terms of erosion.

The Senator however assured the people that, within the next one or two months, Ideato North and South shall begin to reap the benefits of that motion he sponsored, saying that engineers will soon move to the erosion sites to conduct required proper assessments in a bid to commence action as soon as possible.

Concluding, Senator Osita Izunaso promised to do his best possible to attract quality democracy dividends to the benefit of all in the Local Government Areas within his constituency. END
