DECLARE STATE OF EMERGENCY NOW in KADUNA, NIGER, and KWARA

Comrade Tita Onyebuchi, Nze, a Humanrights Activist, Social Commentator, Public affairs analyst and National Chairman Crime Reporters Global Nigeria, has condemned in strong terms, the escalating and continuous resurgence of abductions, kidnapping and Killings in Kaduna, Niger, and Kwara States, asking the Federal Government to with immediate effect declare state of emergency in the affected States.

Comrade Tita Onyebuchi, Nze while speaking to the Press on the state of the nation on Valentine's Day, regretted that, "while some people are celebrating Valentine's Day, others are languishing in fear." He said," it is high time the Federal government declares state of emergency in Kaduna, Niger and Kwara due to the unwarranted insecurity situations in the States!"

Comrade Nze said, "it appears very clear that the State Governors in those State have been overwhelmed with activities of bandits and terrorists".

Comrade Tita Nze expressed that, Crime Reporters Global Nigeria, unequivocally condemns the shocking and demonic resurge of kidnapping, killings, and violent attacks across Kaduna, Niger, and Kwara States, emphasizing that the actions are uncivilised barbaric attacks which have devastated communities, shattered families, and plunged innocent citizens into fear and mourning.

In Niger State, February 13, 2026, over 32 persons were brutally killed in coordinated dawn attacks across communities. Recall that, Niger State witnessed a shocking school kidnapping with more than 300 students and staff abducted in a single attack, one of the largest of its kind in recent history. 

In Kwara, between January and November 2025, not less than 207 people were killed and 177 individuals abducted across the State; disturbingly, more heavy attacks have been witnessed in this February 2026, with raids that claimed many lives. 

Even today, Sunday, February 15, 2026, reports state that about 4persons have been kidnapped. 

Comrade Tita Onyebuchi Nze lamented that "THIS IS HORROR, TRAUMATIC, REGRETTABLE and UNACCEPTABLE!" He charged government at all levels to wake-up to their responsibilities and stop unacceptable flimsy excuses at the detriment of lives of innocent Nigerians who are consistently under undue attack.
