Distinguished Senator Dr. Osita Izunaso, OFR, member representing Imo West Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Capital Market and Institutions, has extended warm greetings to Nigerians, particularly the great people of Orlu Senatorial Zone, on the special occasion of Christmas Celebrations. 

In his heartfelt message, Senator Osita Izunaso enjoins Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of love, unity, tolerance and hope, which the season signifies, urging the people to reflect on the gains and values of peace, togetherness and compassion.

Senator Izunaso said, "Christmas is a season of celebration, merriment and more importantly, a period of reaching out to one another, irrespective of religion, tribe, class or human differences." 

He stated that, "it is a period for stock taking and reconciliation, when families, friends and loved ones come together to share sweet memories, eat, drink and merry."

Senator Izunaso said, to some people, Christmas is a season of home-coming and mass-return, a period when communities meet to discuss the welfare and development of their areas and matters directly affecting the people; urging leaders of various quarters and communities, to endeavour to imbibe fear of God in making critical decisions especially as regards family, business and land cases. 

Senator Izunaso remarked that, this year's Christmas celebrations particularly calls for sober reflections, especially with the renewed rampaging activities of terrorists across the country, urging the people to be very vigilant, and to be safety and security conscious during the yuletide.

He expressed concerns on the economic challenges currently being faced by many Nigerians, encouraging everyone to support one another, especially the less privileged, during the season, saying that Nigerians should come together as usual, to uplift their communities, and ensure that no one is left behind.

The Distinguished Senator expressed gratitude to Nigerians for the resilience and strength displayed in the face of adversity; calling for continuous prayers towards the building of peace, stability and prosperity of the nation; assuring that, the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not relenting in doing everything possible to alleviate the sufferings of citizens, and to make Nigeria safer and a better country.
