The Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 7, Headquarters AIG Victor Olaiya, has charged Commands within its area of operation to beef up security ahead the forthcoming 2025 Eid Al-Adha festivals also known as big Sallah, so as to have a crime free celebration.

AIG Zone 7 Charges FCT, Niger Police Commands to Heighten Vigilance Ahead 2025 Eid al-Adha.
The Assistant Inspector General of Police Zone 7 Headquarters AIG Victor Olaiya, psc(+) has directed the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Niger State Police Commands to intensify security measures and maintain high level of vigilance ahead of the forthcoming 2025 Eid al-Adha celebrations.
The directive was issued as part of the proactive efforts to ensure safety of lives and property, before, during and after the festive period. The AIG emphasized the need for robust intelligence gathering, visible policing, strategic deployment, and collaboration with relevant stakeholders to forestall any form of threat or security breach.
The Zone therefore assures residents within its area of operation (FCT and Niger State) of its unwavering commitment to maintaining peace, law, and order before, during and after the celebrations. Citizens are also encouraged to remain law-abiding and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.
