AIG VICTOR OLAIYA, PROMISES ROBOST COLLABORATION WITH FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE
… Police to support fire emergency responses
The Assistant Inspector-General of Police Zone 7 Headquarters Abuja, AIG Victor Olaiya,psc(+) On Wednesday, 13th August 2025 received the Assistant Controller General of Federal Fire, Zonal Command Wuse zone 3 Abuja, ACGF Mohammed B. Tajudeen on a courtesy call at the Police Zone 7 Headquarters, Abuja.
The courtesy visit, which had in attendance the Zone 7 Police Management Team and other senior officers from Zonal Federal Fire service was aimed at enhancing inter-agency collaboration, sharing intelligence on arson, sabotage and fire-related crimes, develop joint strategies for crowd control and evacuation during fire incidents, safety and public service delivery between the Police and Federal Fire Service.
While addressing the AIG, the Assistant Controller General of Fire, Wuse zonal command acknowledged the critical role of the Nigeria Police Force in safeguarding lives and property, particularly during fire and other related emergencies. He commended the leadership of the Police Zone 7 Headquarters for fostering a cooperative environment and expressed readiness to work closely with the Police to improve emergency response capabilities.
In his response, AIG Victor Olaiya reiterated the importance of synergy between security and emergency response agencies, noting that effective collaboration would not only improve service delivery but also boost public trust. He assured ACGF Mohammed B. Tajudeen and his visiting team of the Police’s unwavering support in areas of joint operations, training, and intelligence sharing.
The visit concluded with both agencies reaffirming their commitment to building stronger operational ties for the safety and well-being of members of the public.
