Edo North Communities To Enjoy Uninterrupted Electricity As Fugar 33KV Gets Connected To Mobitra Transmission Station; Groups Applaud Gesture of  Philanthropist, Oshotse.

From tomorrow, Thursday, December 14, 2023, Edo North Communities are to witness a new dawn in stable electricity supply as Fugar 33kv gets connected to Mobitra Transmission Station, Auchi region. 


The elaborate and unique occasion to be graced by Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State and other top government officials will herald the commencement of uninterrupted electricity supply to communities in Etsako Land. 



As the 33kv Fugar power line is coming on stream, various groups, associations and Individuals have been pouring encomium on the Philanthropist, Mr Philip Oshotse, who is  behind the laudable project. 


The Fugar Progressive Union, FPU, started it as a light up Fugar project, but today has transformed into light up Etsako land.

The FPU President General, Barrister Richard Anetekhai, described the initiative as unparalleled generosity, while 

rejoicing with Fugarians and inhabitants of Fugar City, and other benefitting Communities. 


"First and foremost, I thank Mr. Philip Oshotse for his unparalleled generosity, for solely financing the construction". 

I thank Engr. Musa Okhakumhe, the Chairman of the Fugar Electricity Committee, and other past and present committee members, for their initiative". 


Barrister Richard Anetekhai also thanked the FPU BOT, the FPU Patrons, especially HRH Emmanuel Ogah, the Okphe Ukpi of Ivhinone, the FPU EXCO (immediate past EXCO and present), Hon. Johnson Oghuma, Hon. Jonathan Lawani, Hon. Christian Umogbai, Captain Callistus Okhaishe, and all others that have contributed in one way or the other.


He encouraged Fugarians to reciprocate the gesture by meeting their obligations to the government and BEDC Plc, and specially take advantage of the situation to site industries and other businesses in Fugar City.


Also In a statement titled; "Long-Awaited Development, Mr Philip Oshotse Brings Great Relief And Excitement To The Residents of Fugar,", 

the Chairman of Etsako Central LG, Hon Solomon Obomighie, says Mr Philip Oshotse deep concern for prosperity to the community gives birth to the enhancement and connection of the  33kV Fugar line from 40MVA mobitra transmission station Auchi region. 


"The singular act of concern by Mr Philip Oshotse has not only been a relief to Fugar but a great uplifting in promoting business and economic growth for investors in Fugar".   


 Hon. Solomon Obomighie explained that for years, the lack of reliable electricity has caused numerous challenges for the community.


"Businesses have suffered, homes have gone without power, and our overall quality of life has been affected. However, thanks to the tireless efforts of Mr. Philip Oshotse, this long-standing issue has finally been addressed".


He added, "Mr Oshotse's commitment to the prosperity of our community is commendable and his determination to see Fugar thrives has pushed him to take action and find solutions to the electricity problem". 


 Obomighie noted that Mr Oshotse has consistently raised the issue with the appropriate authorities, highlighting the urgent need for infrastructure development.


"His efforts have resulted in the successful construction and connection of the 33kV Fugar line, marking a significant milestone for the beneficiary communities.


"With this much-needed electricity infrastructure in place, we anticipate positive changes and growth in various sectors. Businesses can now operate without interruptions, leading to increased economic activities and job opportunities for our residents. Additionally, access to electricity will enhance educational facilities, healthcare services, and overall social well-being", Obomighie remarked.

All the Communities in Etsako Land are already set for the connection ceremony on Thursday in Fugar City.
