Talibabaa Reports >Abuja<

The dispute making the rounds between Femi Gbajabiamila and Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, embattled DG of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC) and the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), over alleged disagreement of funds, has taken another dimension, with Prince Adeyemi calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to immediately suspend the Chief of Staff pending outcome of investigations into numerous frauds allegedly linked to Gbajabiamila.

In a Press Conference which took place in Abuja, Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi asked President Bola Tinubu to without further delay, suspend his Chief of Staff, and order a full scale, independent and transparent investigation into allegations of misconduct and alleged financial fraud surrounding Gbajabiamila, especially as regards the alleged irregularities in the purported establishment and recognition of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC) and the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).

Prince Adeyemi requested that the panel should include appropriate agencies, members of credible civil society organizations, international Organisations, and the media, saying that, Nigerians are patiently waiting for Gbajabiamila to open up on what he knows about the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council and Presidential Economic Advisory Council, adding that,  "the issue is a cloud of public misrepresentation, institutional denial, and deliberate attempts to silence legitimate questions that concern matters of national interest”, he stated.

"When pain is inflicted, a response is inevitable, and I will not allow my name to be used as a convenient shield in a matter that Nigerians deserve full transparency on". Adeyemi expressed.

"On 11th June 2026, Hon. Olufemi Hakeem Gbajabiamila issued a disclaimer distancing his Office as the Chief of Staff to the President from Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), alongside the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC), claiming that the Agency did not exist".

Continuing, the visibly fuming Prince Adeyemi said, "I reject outrightly, any attempt to reduce this matter to simple denials without addressing the core questions that Nigerians have been asking since 2025". “Let’s even assume that the agency did not exist, then how did the agency’s name finds its way into the 2026 appropriation budget pages 50 and 51, and If the agency does not exist, yet found it appears on the Nigerian national budget, does that mean that the entire 2026 appropriation budget is a fraud? Prince Adeyemi asked?

According to him, “Because the national budget does not emerge in isolation, it passes through multiple layers of rigorous and processes, legislative drafting, executive coordination, ministerial inputs, budget office review, and finally scrutiny by both chambers of the National Assembly where COS has meritoriously served for good 20 Years and rose from Minority to Majority leaders and Speaker for 4 years”. What does it imply if the integrity of the process that produced and approved those documents if they are indeed present in official documentation?

"How come there are authenticated and verifiable administrative processes, budgetary lines, and institutional communications connected to this Agency if it don’t exist and why does have active Domiciliary Account, Pounds Account and Treasury Single Account all domicile in Central Bank of Nigeria if according to Gbajabiamila the Agency is non existent?

Please note that the process of opening an account with CBN starts from Office of Accountant General of the Federation.

How did the Agency get an office space at the Federal Secretariat and operate for over a year? Abi SGF Office with 6 Permanent Secretaries and numerous Directors aren’t driven by pot of soups?

These are not trivial matters but questions at the sensitivity of governance, accountability, and public trust.

It has been alleged in certain quarters that there were attempts or considerations by the Chief of Staff to use security institutions in Nigeria to frame my diplomatic engagements as espionage or disloyalty. I categorically reject any attempt to criminalize lawful activity."

Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi has alleged that the major rationale behind the disagreement between himself and the Chief of Staff is that, Gbajabiamila requested for 48% of the take-off grant of (#27,395,510,136) from the same agency which he denies exists, to which he Prince Adeyemi, rejected after the Chief of Staff had collected a sum of 400 Million by proxy with alleged remaining balance of 200 Million to secure the said appointment.

Concluding, Prince Adeyemi passionately appealed to President Tinubu, to immediately constitute an independent investigative panel, to:

- Unravel the circumstances behind the mysterious death of Mr. Babatunde Tanimola, who was the intermediary between himself and COS, and, who Police claimed died through fire accident at an hotel in Utako, Abuja on 22nd of October 2025 a day after COS petition was received by the Police.

- To Kindly investigate several attempted assassination to my life especially the one that occurred on Sunday 7th September 2025 along Abuja – Kaduna Expressway where I narrowly escaped. Several belongings, Vital documents were carted away including 2 phones which consisted a lot of information. I reported the case to the Police and Department of State Security. I was told the phones were tracked to Gombe State but an insider Confided to me that There was an order from the above to refrain from taking any further actions.

- To compel the Chief of Staff to produce all official documents he signed since assumption into office, for forensic analysis, because, "he who must come to equity, must come with clean hands".

- To compel the Chief of Staff to immediately step aside pending the outcome of the panel

- To Review budgetary references and institutional records and publish findings transparently.

"If I am wrong, let an independent process prove it, and if Gbajabiamila is right, let it the process also confirm it". END
