Bye Election: I'm Still In The Race, PDP Senatorial Candidate Reiterates

- Joyce Onuora, Abakaliki

The Ebonyi South People's Democratic Party's Senatorial candidate, Barr Silas Joseph Onu has stated clearly that he is still in the race of the Saturday February 3, 2024 bye-election.

Barr Onu who said he is very optimistic that his party PDP will defeat the All Progressives Congress in the bye-election, called on his supporters to come out en-mass and vote the Peoples Democratic Party.

He commended people of the zone for his unanimous acceptance despite humiliation from government officials and vowed to resist such on election day.

The Peoples Democratic Party candidate tasked security agencies to be professional in their conduct and nonpartisan in the discharge of their duties.

He also appealed to the people of Ebonyi South to do the needful for the PDP as the era of imposition of candidate is over in the zone while promising to defend their votes.

It will be recalled that the seat of Ebonyi South senatorial district was declared vacant after the former Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi resigned to serve as a Minister of the Federal Republic. END
