The Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra Command says it has concluded arrangements to make 2022 Easter Celebrations in the State traffic-free for Road users by deploying about 1000 operatives of its personnel for congestion-control during the period. 



The Sector Commander, Corps Commander CC Adeoye Irelewuyi announced this while interacting with the Press in Awka, in preparation for the Easter celebration.

Sector Commander Irelewuyi explained that four hundred and twenty are regular Marshals while six hundred and four among the expected operations team are Special Marshals. 

Commander Irelewuyi said the command will pay special attention to strategic spots in the State especially the Bridge Head in Onitsha which is a major gateway to the Southeast States. 

According to the Anambra FRSC Boss, the Command will deploy personnel to building materials junction Ogidi, New Tarzan junction, as well as all the fly-overs in Awka metropolis, so as to avoid heavy gridlock during the season. 

The Commander advised motorists to avoid night driving because of the inherent dangers associated with it, especially now that the raining season is building up. 

Commander CC Irelewuyi  said the Corps will be working with other Sister Security agencies to ensure a zoom-zoom traffic situation in the State where there would be no road congestion during the 2022 Easter celebration. 


The Sector Commander warned motorists to avoid reckless driving, excessive speeding, making phone calls and driving under the infuence of alcohol during the season, appealing to motorists to always abide by rules and regulations of the highway, warning that offenders shall not be spared. 

He further appealed to motorists to drive to arrive their destinations safely as that is the whole essence of embarking on any journey ■ END
