Report says Maj. Gen Hassan in company of his driver and a female occupant who's identity was not clear at the time of filling this report were returning from Okene to Abuja when the dare devils struck. According to the reports, the General died instantly, but the driver who sustained injury from the gunshot pretended to have died, when the assailants whisked the female occupant into their waiting vehicle and zoomed off, shooting sporadically into the air.
