Community Leader Slams Gov.Uzodimma on Comment Over Recent Shooting of 14 Youths.

An Anambra based business mogul and community leader, Sir Silas Ikeh, CEO of New Haven Estate Nkwelle Ezunaka in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State has slammed Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, on his comment over the recent incident of the killing of some youths of Awo-Omamma in Oru west LGA of Imo State by persons suspected to be members of regional Security Outfit known as Ebubeagu.


Sir Silas who berated the Imo Governor saying his comment potrays him as someone insensitive to the lives of the slain youths and their family members, adding that Gov. Uzodimma should quickly apologize to the victims' family and indeed the entire people of Imo State for his unwarranted rash reactions to the ugly incident.


Sir Silas Ikeh vented his anger on MondayJuly 25, 2022, while speaking to newsmen at his country home residence, New Haven Estate Nkwelle Ezunaka.


Sir Ikeh, also a Human Rights activist, tasked Gov Uzodimma to without delay set up a Judicial Panel of inquiry to ascertain the truth of the matter with a view of apprehending perpetrators of the dastardly act, as well as adequately compensating families of those that lost their loved ones.


Speaking on the prevailing political situation in the country, Sir Ikeh blamed the PDP leadership and its Presidential Candidate Alhaji Atiku as being responsible for the current rancour bedevilling the Party, saying that the Party's leadership failed to recognize the strength, popularity, political relevance and sagacity of Gov. Wike, who worked relentlessly to endear himself to the minds of majority of the Party members, adding that, the leadership of the PDP grossly underestimated Gov. Wike by changing the goal post at the middle of the game by selling out the soul of the Party to Atiku.


On APC Muslim-Muslim Presidential ticket, the Right activist described it as divine, saying that it is an indication that God does not want the party, APC to continue holding unto power in Nigeria, saying that by the Muslim-Muslim ticket, the Party has succeeded in alienating themselves from Nigerians, which according to him means that they already have lost the election before the election proper for recognizing only one section of the divide. 


Reacting to Gov. Soludo's Score Card in his first 100 days in office, Sir Silas Ikeh described the Governor's performance as very encouraging, saying that the Gov. Soludo has started very well trying to stamp his feet on the ground, adding that the governor deserves commendation especially in the area of security, market development, transportation, road maintenance, healthcare and etc.


Concluding, Sir Ikeh opined that he is confident Gov Soludo will surpass his predecessors' achievements, appealing to ndi Anambra to be patient and cooperate with the governor by giving Soludo's administration maximum support. ■ END
